asking the right questions

lisa blanton shares a great quote that is appropriate for the evening:

“The illiterate of the twenty-first century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn.” –Alvin Toffler

tonight i attended the launch of tim hurson’s book think better: an innovator’s guide to productive thinking. it was an evening that left me filled with more questions than answers, the kind of evening i love. why do we learn the way we do? why is it that when we come back from a training session we fall back into our old habits? why do we frequently stop at the first possible solution? how can we shift from training to entraining?

a copy of the book is now on hold at the library. full book review when i’ve finished it.
